Was looking for months for a good used 2010 chevy Z71 .Was being to think it was a nightmate. Kings Chariot had excally what I wanted. They were friendly , very nice vehicles, very clean, in great shape,no pressure,it was a wonderful expirence. I will recommend to anyone that is looking for a good used vehilce. Very Pleased.
I purchased a 2001 4Runner from Mario at Kings Chariot that looked beautiful and was fully equipped with all kinds of great ARB off road equipment. The process was seamless and Mario was quite responsive. After receiving the vehicle, I noticed a leak that evening that I thought was oil. The leak was significant, so I let Mario know. His immediate reaction was that it was his problem, not mine, and that I had nothing to worry about, he would take care of it. He then proceeded to arrange to have the vehicle picked up 200 miles away at 6:30 am the next morning and brought to his place in Jax for repairs. While there he found that it was an old transmission line that had just decided to wear down that day. He replaced all the transmission lines and inspected and adjusted the brakes for me, and then had it delivered back to me -- ALL ON HIS OWN DIME!!!I have been an attorney for 30 years and was fully aware that he had no legal obligation to do these repairs. But to Kings Chariot, their word and their reputation is more important than their money.Mario has my absolute trust as an individual, and I am looking forward to buying more vehicles from Kings Chariot in the future. When service like this is provided, it must be recognized and rewarded. Even if their vehicles are a bit more expensive, it is because they are inspected and serviced and the company stands behind them. Tough to put a dollar value on that.
I just bought a 1999 toyota land cruiser (super clean) from Kings Chariot and I could honestly not be happier! The whoe process was incredibly smooth and hassle free. I also had them outfit the vehicle with several add ons and they were able to get everything done very quickly and the quality of the installs were top notch. I have bought over 20 cars in my lifetime and I can honestly say that this was the best experience I have ever had. Mario and the guys at Kings Chariot are great to deal with and are incredibly knowledgable about everything they sell. When you show up to their location and start looking at all of their vehicles and begin to notice that everything they sell is super clean then you know you're at a good spot and that was exactly my experince with Kings Chariot. I look forward to doing business with them in the future and would be more than happy to make the drive again from NC to FL just to do business with them.
Mario was very professional over the phone and he had the VW Golf TDI that I had been looking for. I put a deposit down over the phone to hold the car as I couldn't drive up to Jacksonville for another week or so. When I came to see the car and give it a test drive he and his son were very welcoming and were able to answer any and all of my questions. Nothing at all about the car was misrepresented. I was paying cash so he was kind enough to work with me a little bit on closing costs, something most big name dealerships refuse to do these days.Coincidentally, I have a Lexus GX470 that I built out for overlanding while living in Colorado so a lot of his Lexus and Toyota SUV's and Trucks caught my eye. I looked at a few of them and noticed that every one I looked at had no rust and seemed to be in really great shape inside and out. They seem to be not only selective in the types of vehicles they take in but, more importantly, they seem to be very selective about the condition of the vehicles they take in. I would not think twice about buying another vehicle from him in the future and I likely will giving his inventory of excellent Lexus and Toyota's.
***update May 2019***I have to add to my original review. When I purchased my car, apparently the local DMV did something wrong with the license plate registration. I had no idea until the plate expired. I tried numerous ways with the state of Florida to figure out the issue. Out of desperation, I called Mario. His staff went over to the DMV almost immediately and had my situation straightened out within a few hours. I really appreciate how his staff consistently goes the extra mile!***original review August 2018***Mario and his staff are fantastic and went above and beyond expectations normally reserved for a dealership. I purchased my 2015 VW Sportwagen TDI last year and my experience was great. He made sure his staff was available to pick me up at the Jacksonville airport and about 90 minutes later, I was on my way back home with my new wheels. While I was at the dealership, I had a chance to look at all the other vehicles he had on sale. This dealer specializes in niche type vehicles and all that he had that day were in top notch condition. They all looked amazing! I’ve purchased two rigs from King’s Chariot in the past couple years and both transactions went flawlessly. I’ve only dealt with Mario but he’s a class act - very responsive, attentive, and available when needed. Both the Lx470 and the 4Runner I purchased are amazing rigs. They shipped the LX470 to me in North Dakota and it was more than they said it was. It was my hunting and off road rig until I left the Dakotas. I can’t say enough about the folks at this dealership. I purchased a vehicle sight unseen from them (first time ever doing so.) When it arrived the vehicle truly exceeded my expectations! I would highly recommend Mario and his team. Start to finish, great to work with.Also- There was an issue with one of the aftermarket parts on my vehicle. Without even questioning Mario refunded me the cost to fix said issue, and he worked with the supplier to recoup his losses instead of having me go through them like 99.9% of today’s companies would.Thanks again, fellas. I bought a 2012 Volkswagen Passat with a turbo Diesel engine. When I got it, the car looked Great, and drove great. I have had it for two weeks now an it has been the best car I have ever owned. We know things go great when you buy a vehicle and are happy....but what happens when you ''dont'' buy the vehicle?? We just didnt come to a deal (this time, I still have my eye on others in his inventory) and I was treated very professionally, my deposit refunded, and politely asked to come back if I became interested in anything else! Mario at Kings Chariot was amazing to work with on buying my dream car. After searching for months thinking I’d find a “deal” on a classic Land Cruiser and dealing with questionable cars and sellers, I finally was referred to Kings Chariot by a friend who had just bought a Cruiser from there. I was blown away by the quality of cars on their website and as soon as I spoke with Mario I knew I was dealing with a true pro I could trust. He spent as much time helping me as I could have asked for and was so nice and knowledgeable. I was even able to customize the rig to my specifications at a price far less than I’d have done on my own. I love the Cruiser he sent me and will probably never sell it. I looked for months to find a 4th gen 4runner with a clean southern Carfax with 4WD and had no luck. Finally saw a posting from King's Chariot that was exactly what I was looking for. Mario and his team do a great job procuring those hard to find Toyota and Lexus models.I had the car checked out by a pro. No engine codes, true frame and all major body panels have original paint. Drove back from Jax to Tampa and the truck ran great. Very happy with my purchase and can't wait to take it off road.
Kings chariot is the easiest car dealership I’ve ever dealt with if they make you a promise they keep it my husband and I picked up a 2005 Toyota Land Cruiser had it all decked out and will be sending it to Costa Rica I am so glad Jacksonville has such a great specialized used car dealership that has such a great reputation and I personally found out why Mario his two sons and his team really are experts at what they do very professional and they do it with a warm family atmosphere no pressure love these guys

Excellent experience with King's Chariot. Bought a low mileage 2002 LX470, and it has been a great driving car for daily commuting as well as a weekend cruiser. Mario was very thorough in explaining what I needed to do in order to keep it running for years to come, he also picks up the phone whenever I call with questions.Kings Chariot will come pick your vehicles up and work on them when needed which I think should tell you how much pride they take in finding quality, gently used Cruisier's & LX's, and servicing them for their customers.
These guys are meticulous, honest, and fair. Drove this car 1,000 miles back home with no problem. The If you're looking for a great buy, look no further. Can't get much better than this! I'm a customer for life.

Great people who take pride in their work and are super knowledgeable about the brands they specialize in. I have always appreciated the build quality and reliability of the Toyota/Lexus brand. I was searching for land cruisers and came across Kings Chariot. Ended up buying a 200 series Land Cruiser and then a 100 series a couple of weeks later. They added several modifications to the 100, completed some needed service and did it all extremely quickly. The cars look and drive fantastic. The fact that they can do almost all of the service and modifications on site makes the process very easy. You can tell Mario and his team have a passion for what they do. I highly recommend them if you are in the market.

Customer service without all of the dealership BS....We even agreed upon a few extras , including the infamous Toyota 100K service....Kudo's to their shop, First Class down to the minor detailed touches....Now living a few hours away was handled professionally also as Mario again stepped up and took care of all the details... delivery went off smoothly also at the time I was told...Sadly, the only problem will be the Tundra I purchased will last another 200K .....

I was lucky to snag a beauty of a gx470 from Mario and team. These are the dudes you want to hang out with off road. It was my 10th + Yota purchase. Mario and his team are a well oiled machine like the quality Yota/Lex rigs in their inventory. They specialize in "IT" vehicles. The showroom has a very boutique feel and the easiest car purchase experience I have ever had. I was able to remote work remotely w their WiFi, they dropped me off at the airport car rental and followed me back to showroom and then finally filled my gas tank (long after the transaction was complete). Every interaction was above and beyond from their team. Even simple phone calls to check on inventory in advance of travels made me feel very welcome and part of the King's Chariot experience. I am looking forward to letting Mario and team take my GX to new heights. Literally!

I am a well satisfied NON-buyer: I've been speaking with Mario by phone for a few days and drove 1000 miles to see a SUV. There were over 100 photos availabe. I would do business with Mario any time. Sadly in this case the vehicle simply wasn't what I was looking for. In my experience trustworthy used auto dealers are as rare as some vintage car models. Mario took all the time I needed and was a professional in every sense of the word.
Mario and the rest of the staff at Kings Chariot were awesome to work with. They were excellent to work with and didn’t pressure us into purchasing anything we didn’t want or need. If you are skeptical about buying an older vehicle with higher mileage, the ones in inventory here are thoroughly vetted to ensure they are in outstanding condition. This was HANDS DOWN the BEST car buying experience I have ever had. After first speaking with Mario, I hung up and thought, "that guy doesn't care if I buy a car from him or not." That is not to say he was not friendly, informative and professional, he was. It's just that after "dealing" with other dealers quite a bit recently, it struck how his sales approach was to rely on the confidence he had in his product and business, rather than try to feed me a bunch of BS and harass me on the way to a buck. I now know this confidence is well founded.When my 99 LX470 arrived, I don't think I was able to say anything but "oh my god", and "holy sh!t" for at least ten minutes. This vehicle is clean as clean can get and absolutely hums. This entire process far exceeded my expectations, and I will highly recommend Kings Chariot to anybody who will listen. I bought a 2015 Golf SEL TDI here and it was the smoothest, most satisfying car buying experience I have ever had. No unnecessary attempts to sell you things you don't want, just strait to the point. I walked in without calling ahead after seeing the car on their website and was driving away in an hour in new car (even after a test drive). Mario was very knowledgeable and friendly, which only helped to make the whole experience even better. If I knew about this place in the past I would have bought all my vehicles here. I can not recommend this place enough. It's kind of tucked away, so finding it was confusing at first, but once you do you will thank yourself later.
I bought a Toyota 4Runner. Transaction was super easy. I loved dealing with Mario. Delivery was quick and cheap. Vehicle was cleaner than I ever could have imagined. I was nervous about buying a 17 year old vehicle without seeing it first. Mario was more than honest and underpromised and over delivered. It appears that everything he buys is rust free, super clean, and no wreck vehicles. You can’t buy a car and accessorize it with all of the ARB parts yourself and come out cheaper because he is a dealer for ARB. He gets the parts at their distribution warehouse locally without freight cost. He knows how to trick these things out. Great taste.Shannon

I just got my Land Cruiser yesterday from Kings Chariot. It is an impeccable vehicle that drives beautifully. These guys don’t buy and sell junk vehicles. They inspect the vehicles they get in very thoroughly and do not sell those that don’t meet their standard. And if you find anything wrong with the vehicle, they will make sure to fix it before you leave with it. The price I paid for my Land Cruiser was very competitive to a nationwide search I did for a similar vehicle. These guys are the real deal. Buy with confidence!

I have purchased vehicles over the internet 3 times before. This time I purchased a mint condition 2002 F250. Mario was our salesman. This was by far the best sales experience I have ever had. I had an unexpected last minute issue with my credit union that couldn't be timely resolved, so Mario found me different (and better) financing within minutes. When there was an auto transport delay, Mario brought my truck back to his shop to keep it safe and secure until it was able to be transported to my home in Pennsylvania. Nice outstanding place to buy a car
Enjoyed my experience with Mario... We agreed on price over phone I flew to Jacksonville they picked me up in the truck I was buying. He make the paperwork a breath. It’s was everything that was explained to me and they were fantastic to work with, and would recommend to anyone.

Tried to Buy a car from another dealer which took 2 weeks and the deal fell though. Called Mario about a Golf TDI on Monday. The car was delivered on Thursday night. 4 Days. The car was in Mint condition and absolutely no problems with paper work or anything. Was the easiest time I have ever had buying a car, honestly. Will definitely buy again from them!!!!!

This is not a “used car lot”, there is no buy here pay here. If you’re in the market for a pre-owned vehicle, have good credit and want a painless car buying experience, call Mario and shop here first. If you think the price is high for a certain listed vehicle, check the market. ( the quality of the vehicles I’ve seen here are going to list on the higher side anyway) The price of the truck I bought was high compared to NADA and KBB, but it was right in line with market price for this specific truck. When I purchase my next vehicle I won’t hesitate to call and tell Mario what I want, let him find it and have it shipped to my front door.

In 1987 I purchased my first car. In all the many years and vehicles since, buying directly from King's Chariot was, hands-down, my best buying experience. As of this writing, it has been nearly a month since the King's Chariot team completed the expedition build of my 2005 GX470. As a resident of Jacksonville FL, it was easy for me to make a Saturday appointment to "kick the tires" in person. Candidly, at first, I was skeptical about buying from a smaller dealership. I asked many questions, not only about the vehicle and the warranty but about the Smittybilt winch, Procom wheels, and all the ARB gear; suspension, bumper, roof rack, awning, etc. It didn't take long for me to understand that Mario and the team not only understand their business but have a genuine passion for doing things right. Most dealerships could learn customer service lessons from this employee-owned business. Based upon my experience, I have encouraged my closest friends to consider buying from King's Chariot.

Mario helped me find my DREAM CAR! He was so helpful, knowledgeable and answer any question I had. I bought a new-to-me BMW 335i and it was spotless. I have had no problems with it, which is a first considering when I buy a used car, it usually comes with a ton of repairs like, brakes, tires, etc., but not with the one I bought from Mario. He made sure the car was in tip-top condition for me. My English is also not the best, Mario and his family ll speak Spanish and made it even easier for me. If you are in the market for a car, I definitely recommend checking them out!
